Within a 2-minute walk there is an Albert Heijn, Stach and EcoPlaza and other shops for daily shopping. The J.P. Heijestraat, is known for nice boutique shops, various nice coffee shops, cafes and restaurants. Within a few minutes’ walk you are at the Foodhallen, Café Panache, Restaurant Edel or, for example, Staring at Jacob.
But there’s also delicious Moroccan, Ethiopian and Israeli food, as well as wood-fired pizza at Forno down the street. De Hallen are also nearby and the well-known Ten Katemarkt on the Kinkerstraat. The Kinkerbuurt is characterized by its location on the edge of the Center, the Helmersbuurt and Oud West and offers the best of these three worlds.
You can cycle to the Museumplein and Leidseplein and the Jordaan in 5 minutes and it is a few minutes’ walk to the trams, including tram lines 1, 3, 7, 13, 17, 19, which run to both the CS and Lelylaan station. From Lelylaan there is a good connection with Schiphol. You can reach the Ring A10 within 5 minutes by car.
