There is a private driveway with parking in front of the house. Next to the driveway is the attached bicycle shed and next to it the back door. The extensive forests, sand drifts, fens and the rich flora and fauna are unique. Outside the parks you will also find a varied landscape, such as moors with grazing sheep herds, historic esgrounds and brook valleys.
Darp has some small-scale new construction. In addition to a community center, hairdresser, snack bar and cafe, there are various sports clubs such as a football club, a darts club, and a billiards club.

Havelte can be reached by bicycle and offers various monumental buildings, a sheepfold, a flour mill, old Saxon farms and of course the hunebeds.
